Craig Hauben
Good products, ideas and intentions are everywhere. Great operators are rare. I invest in the difference.

Bio

Craig Hauben is a member of the Investment Committee at Suncoast Ventures Fund II, where he brings two-time CEO discipline and 30+ years of operating experience across healthcare and technology. He evaluates investments through the lens of an operator who has built, scaled, and exited multiple health-tech businesses.

Craig is currently the President and CEO of Clutch Healthcare, an AI-powered SaaS engagement, retention, and activation platform serving he was althcare and B2C industries. Under his leadership, Clutch recently acquired Reciprocity Health and continues to expand its behavioral-modeling-driven platform across health systems and payers.

Previously, he was President and CEO of MediSpend, where he boosted enterprise value by more than 300%. He has held board roles at Healthfirst, CareConnect, and Arro Health. He holds a BA and an MPA from Syracuse University.

Craig brings the IC the perspective of someone who has actually been in the seat founders are sitting in — and who has taken the long path from product-market fit to enterprise-grade exit.

Backstory

I've spent 30-plus years as an operator in healthcare and technology, two times as a CEO, building, scaling, and exiting health-tech businesses through the long path from product-market fit to enterprise-grade exit.

At MediSpend I grew enterprise value by more than 300%. Today I'm President and CEO of Clutch Holdings, an AI-powered engagement and retention platform, where we recently acquired Reciprocity Health and Perx Health. I've been a Director at MediSpend, Clutch, SPG, and Partners For Biliteracy, and am a trustee of the HGH Foundation. I also write about what AI is doing to work — my first book, The AI: Migration, publishes in July 2026.

On Suncoast's Investment Committee I bring the perspective of someone who has actually been in the seat founders are sitting in, and who knows what it really takes to scale commercially inside the broad healthcare ecosystem.

What I'm looking for

Companies that can scale commercially within payer and provider ecosystems, evaluated the way an operator would, not the way a spreadsheet would.

Founders who can lead teams productively and who have a credible path from product-market fit to an enterprise-grade outcome.
